I have a passion for providing a safe space for marginalized folks to tell their stories free of judgement. Through cultivating therapeutic relationships, I strive to make the counseling session a place where connection leads to healing. While the foundation of my approach is person-centered and trauma-informed, I often utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and, at times, a healthy dose of humor, allowing my client to lead the course of therapy. Thanks to my yoga teacher trainings, I also enjoy incorporating yoga into therapy (when helpful) to help restore a client’s sense of safety within their body. I believe that my clients are the experts in their own lives and encourage them to take the driver’s seat in each session.
My main focus is working with people who have eating disorders, disordered eating, or a negative body image, and I take a weight-neutral approach to recovery. I also work with adult and adolescent clients in the LGBTQ+ community as well as individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, obsessive-compulsive disorder, trauma, and life transition issues.
I love living near the mountains, and when I’m not at work, I can be found reading, drinking coffee, hiking, playing an instrument, crocheting, or just hanging out with my friends and family!
