Beginning therapy takes a large amount of courage and vulnerability. It is crucial that you feel comfortable while sharing your story. My office is a safe space for all of my clients, and my hope is to ensure that each individual feels heard and welcome. I use an integrative approach to counseling. I believe that each client is a unique person, and the therapeutic process should be a reflection of that. Therefore, I utilize many different theoretical modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Reality Therapy and Choice Theory, as well as a Solution Focused approach. I also like to incorporate techniques from various theories when appropriate with my clients.
Before joining the Mayfield team, I was a School Counselor, primarily working with middle school aged adolescents. Working with children, adolescents and young adults is my passion, but I am able to work with a range of clients and matters including depression, anxiety, life changing events and self image issues.
Originally from Florida, I recently moved to Colorado Springs to be closer to the mountains. Outside of work, you can find me reading a book, crocheting, or spending time with family and friends.
