I believe that everyone can rise above their struggles and find healing and meaning in their life. No one should live with mental health, or relational issues alone. I believe that counseling is a partnership in which we are fellow travelers for a short time while we journey to discover how to use the resources you have, to accomplish your mental health or relational goals. My main scope of practice is in both couples and trauma therapies.
I use EMDR to aid in the recovery of those who suffer from trauma-related conditions such as PTSD. In couples therapy I use what is called the Gottman Method to aid a couple’s relationship toward harmony. I also aid those who find that their life has a distinct lack of meaning or purpose which is a very common struggle.
I believe Viktor Frankl said it best when he wrote, “Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.” I’m here to help you travel down the road toward this growth, this healing, and best yet freedom.
