In today’s world, it is rare to encounter spaces that let us feel truly free to be fully and messily and magnificently ourselves. My goal in counseling is always, first and foremost, to mutually create a space that allows you to feel safe enough to explore the most vulnerable parts of yourself. Intentionally interacting with your own vulnerability takes courage and should not be something you have to do alone. I feel so privileged to get to help human beings navigate their journey from a sense of fragmentation to lives that feel whole and integrated. The main theories and techniques that my practice is rooted in are existential therapy, Gestalt therapy, and somatic therapies. I believe that the mind and body are intimately connected and in fact cannot be separated. Therefore, part of my practice is to help clients regain a sense of connection to their bodies and discover how orienting this can be.
Apart from my interest in psychology and work as a counselor, I love the artsy things—music, poetry, stargazing, etc. I see all of life as a creative endeavor.
Choosing a path of self-development in life is so admirable, so thank you for considering embarking on a therapeutic journey. I would never tell you that it’s easy, but I will tell you that there is an astonishing aliveness that’s possible for you if you hang in there.
