My therapeutic approach is founded on the belief that we are living a story that is sacred. We all find ourselves in seasons of challenge. Often, we seek treatment when the hardship feels insurmountable. I welcome you to enter a safe place to make meaning in your story and gain tools for a healthy path forward. The counseling room is a space free of judgment. You are welcome to voice the hurt you are experiencing and the ways you want to experience change.
Whether you are hoping to find clarity through experiential approaches or prefer a grounded therapeutic intervention we can discover what works together. I believe that it takes courage to step into therapy and my intention is to honor that bravery with collaborative counseling that will lead to peace and purpose in your life.
My current focus is supporting individuals processing trauma, and couple’s hopeful to strengthen communication and connectedness, but I am open to working with people experiencing a variety of mental health struggles. Mindfulness, grounding techniques, and breathing are often integrated in counseling as tangible tools between sessions.
Before joining the MCC team, I worked in crisis intervention through a therapeutic day school serving students on the autism spectrum and experiencing behavioral disorders. I have also worked for the non-profit organization To Write Love On Her Arms. My work included hosting community mental health workshops, coordinating partnerships, and managing the FIND HELP Program. I have represented the organization at music festivals, college campuses, conventions, and other various places where community is actively engaged in mental health advocacy. My clinical approach is deeply rooted in my prior experiences at both the individual and the community-wide level.
When I am not at work, you can catch me traveling, exercising, hiking, camping, or roasting coffee at home. I am a Colorado Springs trail running enthusiast, marathoner, and I am hopeful to complete my first Iron Man in the next couple of years.
